Droid 2 phone explodes in US mans ear.

As is so often, this could only have happened in America.
So did this phone explode or did he just smack his head on the car whist getting in. I know what I believe.
There no doubt that the lawyers will get involved with this case.
I do find it strange that the display still seems to work and it's only the glass that fracture. If there was an explosion why was none of the material propelled outward? As I said, the glass still looks reasonably intact.
